Julie ALLEMAND, Marième BADIANE and Marine JOHANNES: three of the Lyon players for 2019-2020 are competing in the EuroBasket Women, which starts on Thursday in Latvia and Serbia.

BELGIUM
In 2017, Belgium grabbed their first European title (bronze). In the following year, the Belgian Cats contined to do well with a fourth place in the last world championship. The Lyon player, Julie ALLEMAND has taken a few well deserved days off to join the Belgian national team. As preparations have taken place, she has stepped up her performance with two good results against Italy: 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 decisive passes and then 17 points in the last friendly.

FRANCE
With some players out (including the future Lyon player Helena Ciak, as well as Diandra Tchatchoung and Sara Michel) with a younger squad, France completed their preparation with four wins (Ukraine twice, Russia in extra time, and China) and two defeats against Turkey and Serbia. The Euro starts for France in Riga (Latvia), and may continue in the final phase in Belgrade (Serbia). Silver medallists in the last three editions, (2013, 2015, 2017), they will once again be aiming for the podium.
