After two days of warming up in Marseille, the IDEC SPORT maxi-trimaran cast off at nine this morning to start the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Prologue.
On the programme today, a course along the Mediterranean coast to Nice, where the Nice UltiMed festivities will continue. There is some brilliant sunshine, but very little wind to accompany the crew and two of the team who prepared the boat. They are not expected to reach the Bay off Nice until late this evening or early tonight.
