On Saturday on the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet in the South of France, where the first event of the ELMS European Endurance Championship is taking place this weekend, the first pole position of the 2018 season went to the IDEC team in the LMP2.
After the three qualifying sessions for the Le Castellet 4-Hour Race, the first event of the 2018 European Le Mans Series, pole positions in the three categories for the race which takes place on Sunday 15th April, were closely fought up until the final minutes. Paul-Loup Chatin offered IDEC Sport their first pole position, after the qualifiers were interrupted with the red flag.
Paul-Loup Chatin set an excellent time of 1’41.194 at the wheel of the ORECA 07-Gibson N°28, just two minutes from the chequered flag obtaining his first ELMS pole position.
