Following on from the 2018 Le Mans 24-Hour race press conference, which was held on 9th February at the Rétromobile Car Show in Paris, the IDEC SPORT team has taken the decision to withdraw the Ligier JSP217 ranked as substitute for this 86th edition of the race. The team will be focusing on #28, which has been competing in the European Le Mans Series since last season, and which finished 10th in LMP2 in the 2017 Le Mans 24-Hour Race.
On 16th June, 60 cars will be on the starting grid ready to compete in this legendary event. There will be twenty cars competing in the LMP2 category including car #28 in the colours of IDEC SPORT, which will be driven by Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin and a third driver, whose name has not yet been revealed.
By focusing its efforts and skills on a single car, the LMP2 #28, the IDEC SPORT team are giving themselves the best chance of enhancing their performance and moving up to get a race result matching the team’s new ambitions.
