The lionesses are back in the game after a solid match against the Bretons from Landerneau (53-79).
A great win for the Lionesses on Sunday, when they beat Landerneau thanks to an amazing second quarter with the score 4 to 25. While Ingrid TANQUERAY hammered it home with 5 points in a row (for the widest gap in the score, 16-48), Taylor WURTZ’s team (13 points) reacted when they came out of the changing room scoring 0-15 against the Lionesses. In the end, Helena CIAK brought this poor episode to an end. They became more skilful in defending and the skill of Marine JOHANNES and Lidija TURCINOVIC made all the difference to get them back from the 31 point gap to manage the end of the game.

THE MOMENT – At the end of the first quarter, Paoline SALAGNAC went on the attack. A lively performance with 4 points in a row (12-18), but the Lionesses defended well from the second quarter scoring 4-25 agaiinst Landerneau in that period.
THE LIONESS – Paoline SALAGNAC boosted the attack at the end of the first quarter, Héléna CIAK and Marine JOHANNES pushed their team forward in the third, but Lidija TURCINOVIC was the leading Lioness on Sunday with an excellent twenty minutes: 20 points at 4/6, 6 rebounds, 2 decisive passes, 2 interceptions and a ranking of 16.
STATS – The Lionesses were also unbeatable on the rebounds. 46 balls caught by Clarissa DOS SANTOS (13 catches) against 19 for Landerneau.
The next match for the Lionesses will be on Thursday when they are home to Girona for the first match in the Women’s EuroLeague at Mado Bonnet.
