The standard is high and there is a lot of competition in the LMP2 category. With a great time of 3’27’’847, IDEC SPORT obtained the fourth best time in this first qualifying session.
Nicolas Minassian, head of sport, was very pleased with this day: “In spite of the conditions today, we checked out some important parameters for the weekend of racing. The changes we have made to the car were positive. The three drivers managed to get decent times and felt confident in the car. We tested that confidence during the night and we have more or less chosen the tyres for the race.”
“The qualifying session could have been faster, as we were blocked in. Memo and Paul worked hard on the set-up. We’ll try to do better tomorrow, but so far it has been very positive. We’ll be preparing the car for the race.”
