After setting sail from her home port of la Trinité sur Mer on Friday morning at around nine, the IDEC SPORT maxi-trimaran moored up at the pontoon in Nantes, where the festivities for The Bridge 2017 are beginning.
There was not much wind, but the sun was out for the crew, which is almost complete*, to enjoy the delivery trip. An opportunity to find their feet after the round the world record set early this year. They now have a week of preparations ahead of them in Nantes and then in St-Nazaire, with various press meetings, briefings, safety checks (etc.), but there will also be time to celebrate the centenary of the arrivals of the Americans in France for the First World War.
*Only Sébastien Audigane is missing. He is stil in the south of France and will arrive in a few days from now.
